Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Isleta collection review visit May 2 3, 2022 (Events Record “Collection Review: Isleta Collection Review 2"): The artist/maker of this bowl, Emilia (Emily) Lente Carpio, is the grandmother of Isleta Pueblo potter Stella Teller. This pot is hand coiled and features fire clouds from the firing process. The slip on this bowl is a mixture of micaceous and red slip. This was likely used for utilitarian purposes.
