DescriptionBolo tie depicting a quail. The materials used are silver, antler, white mussel shell, mother of pearl, jet, turquoise, coral, spiny oyster, and abalone. The technique used is a mix of channel and mosaic inlay. Tips have small matching quails attached at ends. Commercial leather braid.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 17 and 18, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 4”): Mr. Seowtewa thinks the artist may have been Poefilio (not sure of last name) or Quelo (could be either first or last name). The materials used are silver, antler, white mussel, mother of pearl, jet, turquoise, coral, spiny oyster, and abalone.
