Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This turkey figurine is handmade with all natural traditional materials and was fired outdoors. Forms like this are only made at Acoma.

According to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”): This figuring was likely made in the same method as a canteen. Sarah, the artist, also made lamb figurines and miniatures. Rose Chino, an Acoma Potter, also made turkey figurines similar to this.
