DescriptionAcoma black-on-white handmade ceramic rattle with modeled animal head at the tip of the handle. White slipped with black painted insects and features of a mammal on the modeled animal head.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This rattle is handmade with traditional materials and is outdoor fired. Dolores Lewis Garcia, Lucy's daughter, was not sure what kind of animal is supposed to be depicted at the tip of the handle.
