DescriptionAcoma polychrome bowl; three-color; white slip with black painted decoration. The design consists of a hachured filled zigzag band with checkerboard motifs at the points and filled triangles. Red, flat base, red slipped interior with no decoration.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): The design on this bowl is a very typical Acoma design. There appear to be small spots of cement that dripped into the interior. There are line breaks at the lower framing line of the design.
